Now is time to support Aurora Fire District

To the editor:

Our fire district residents call the Aurora Rural Fire Protection District for help at their time of their greatest need. We are very fortunate to have a team of dedicated volunteer and professional first responders to answer these emergency calls and provide excellent first response for the people of Aurora, Donald, Butteville and the surrounding areas.

Now is the time for you to support those who serve you and your family. Our district is asking to renew our operating levy on the November ballot at the current level of .49 cents per thousand. Conservative financial management and the commitment of these dedicated volunteers allows our district to maintain the high quality of service that citizens of the district expect and rely on.

Please vote YES on 24-254 to help our Aurora Fire District continue to provide the excellent life safety services to our community.

Aurora Fire operating levy is worthy of ‘yes’ vote

To the editor:

I have served my community as a volunteer firefighter for almost 40 years. The Aurora Fire District operating levy is a renewal of the current levy rate and is essential to the continuation of the high level of fire and emergency medical service our residents currently have.

By renewing the levy, we will maintain the same level of lifesaving fire and medical services, including short response time, as well as keeping fire and medical equipment up to date.

Please vote yes on 24-354 and continue the Aurora Fire District operating levy in the November election.

Bond for NMSD should be passed

To the editor:

At the risk of my conservative credibility, sorry Joe, I support the four-year operation bond for the North Marion School District.

I, like most district patrons, must rely on our elected board members to oversee school business, and I feel we have a very good school board in place to make those judgments.

The current 53 percent state grant on levy proceeds is also a benefit from this bond. Although there is a long list of wants for this bond levy, I feel that with the administration and board in place at this time, it would be spent wisely.

Thank you for your consideration,
